Having developed a very good working partnership with the management and staff of GBM Demolition over the last 6 months it makes writing this reference gratifying.
The whole contract has been excellently managed, from initial Community and Housing Association consultations through to the physical demolition process, a mammoth task of simultaneously demolishing three tower blocks within such close proximity of each other, has been made to look 'simple' due to what I can only explain as Client - Contractor Partnership who's attention has been to leaving 'No Stone Unturned'.
Throughout the project Environmental and Health and Safety issues ahve been paramount. Demolishing the fifteen storey blocks, which in some cases were no more than 10 meters from the nearest residential property, in fact turned out to be the least of our worries.
Controlling environmental issues such as dust and noise etc was the key to pacifying the local community, a task that GBM would rise to.
The final hurdle was to remove 30,000.00 tonnes of recycled hardcore from within a densely populated housing estate, surrounded with schools and health centres; A traffic management scheme was formulated and vigorously enforced by GBM until completion.
In conclusion I would have no hesitation in working alongside or recommending GBM for future work.
Yours faithfully
