GBM UK bares all in the name of charity

Louth based firm GBM UK – who specialise in demolition, asbestos removal & waste management – are pleased to announce the forthcoming production of their semi-naked calendar in aid of The Louth Scanner Appeal.

The 2009 calendar – which has been appropriately named GBM Calendar Boys – will include fifteen of the companies male employees who are willing to be sponsored and pictured baring their bodies.

With the recent loss of employee Jeremy Holmes (known as Jez), who sadly passed away in February, GBM decided to produce a calendar in his memory. All proceeds from the sales and sponsorship will go to Jez’s preferred charity – The Louth Scanner Appeal and will also raise awareness of the 60th Anniversary of the NHS.

The charity aims to raise sufficient monies in order to buy and maintain a scanner for Louth County Hospital. This much needed state-of-the-art equipment, which gives a “living autopsy”, will be highly beneficial to patients in Louth and across the County.

“This is a fantastic idea,” says Louth Scanner Appeal Chairman, Trevor Marris. “It’s a great way to get the community involved in something fun, whilst raising sufficient funds for this important local charity”.

“Jez was an important part of the team here at GBM,” says GBM Director, Simon Grantham. With his great sense of humour we felt that the calendar would be an ideal tribute in his memory. We are hoping for a large amount of support when the calendar goes on sale later this year”.

GBM will also be offering local businesses the opportunity to be involved through sponsorship of the calendar.

GBM Calendars can still be purchased by calling into the office or by Tel No: 01507 607289
